Born and raised in Hyde Park, Lennon graduated from the University of Chicago and partnered with a friend to found a cutting edge consulting agency. Their tenacity and drive takes them to all corners of the world. Their schedule demands that there is down time to reset before their next journey. Lennon loves their home town and they are a part of what makes Chicago great. As a musician, Lennon enjoys jazz, as well as dining out and catching a show with old friends whenever their schedule allows. Lennon also relishes the chance to kick back with a great wine and gaze out over the park with a good book on a blustery Chicago night. They enjoy these little luxuries as well as their personal affairs being attended to; they make choices wisely. With an eye for design and fashion, Lennon’s home is well appointed and perfectly curated.
A narrative was developed (“Lennon”: Gender Neutral Persona) to outfit a model unit of a new development in the South Loop, and to identify the type of person that would inhabit the space. The overall concept was inspired by a tailored suit. Using nomadic applications, such as paint datums, custom designed furniture, curated art, and unique accessories, the unit aims to capture the space of someone artful, modern, and urbane. Just as a black suit is monochromatic, all major furniture pieces were specified in black for a dramatic effect. Representing the pops of color from a pocket square, a watch, or other accessories, hunter green accents and brass are sprinkled throughout the space.
