About the Designer:
Minna Etters is a biracial designer born in Indianapolis, Indiana. After completing two years of undergrad at Ball State University, she moved to Chicago to continue her interior architecture degree at Columbia College Chicago. She interned at Anthropologie in Indiana, as a visual display artist, building and designing store and window installations. After moving to Chicago, she spent a year and a half at Studio CM, a small residential boutique firm. She worked as an intern and later a junior designer at GREC Architects. After college she took on a junior designer role at Huntsman Architectural Group. Her interests are workplace design, hospitality, residential, and retail. Her philosophy is that architecture is a right to all, no matter the race, age, social class, or ableness of a person, everyone has the right to good design. Her diverse background fuels her position on controversial topics within the architecture world. She hopes to design spaces that will have positive impact on both end users and communities.
